About Makerspaces to Masterpieces

The "Makerspaces to Masterpieces" website was the brainchild of librarian and makerspace teacher, Derra Banks, a staff member at Mary G. Porter Traditional School in Woodbridge, VA.  In order to help her colleagues feel more comfortable with planning and execution of lessons, this site was developed as a one stop location to get teachers started with curricuulum integration and hands on learning.

It continues to evolve to suit the needs for a wider audience.  From those wanting to embark on makerspace initiation in an educational setting, to seasoned "makers" looking for grant opportunities, "Makerspaces to Masterpieces" is hoping to serve as a professional learning consortium.  Please contact us with your ideas, questions and suggestions.  We would like this site to serve you!
